WHAT WE BELIEVE
DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God, providentially preserved in the Bible, and as such, is "The Holy Scriptures" and thereby "given by inspiration of God." (Pro. 30:5; Psa. 12:6-7; II Tim. 3:15-17)
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His vicarious atonement, His bodily resurrection, and His imminent second coming. (John 1:1; Isa. 7:14; I John. 2:1-2).
SALVATION
We believe salvation is "by grace through faith" in the finished work of Jesus Christ, and "not by works of righteousness which we have done." Furthermore, we adhere to the Bible position and Bible adherence that the believer's soul is eternally secure after salvation. (Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; John 5:24)
CHURCH
We believe in two scriptural uses of the word "church" (the spiritual body of Christ, consisting of all believers, and each local assembly of believers). We believe that all people who have been born again are a part of "the universal church, which is his body," and therefore should join an autonomous local church. Furthermore, we believe the Biblical church to be an autonomous Bible believing Church separate from religio-political "state church" or "eclectic mother church". We believe in two church ordinances: Water baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper (known as communion), and two offices: Pastor and Deacon. (I Cor. 1:16, 11:23-27, 12:13; Eph. 1:22-23; I Tim. 3:1-13)
DOCTRINE
As evangelicals, we are Baptist in doctrine, and traditional in global Christian world view parallel with Classic Christianity. We subscribe to a moderate dispensationalism, and we do not hold to any “Confessions” or “Catechisms” (Ephesians 3). We are against the falsehoods taught in the major seminaries around the world regarding misrepresentations of higher and lower criticism of the word of God. We stand against the charismatic movement to include self promotion to prophet or apostle status, which are reserved for only those people in the Bible. We stand against reformed catholic theologies and the likes thereof. We also believe in a practical, Biblical Christianity: prayer, personal work, giving, ministering to the saints, and a daily walk with Jesus Christ.
